Residential Rooftop

Solar for your home, sized to your bill

Most homes recover their investment in 3–4 years and then generate free electricity for the next 20. We handle the design, installation, and every subsidy form in between.

We size your system to your actual usage

Rather than selling you a fixed package, we start with your last 6 months of electricity bills. That tells us your daily consumption, and from there, the system size that makes financial sense — not too small to matter, not too large to sit unused.

A typical Uttar Pradesh home gets about 4.3 units of generation per kW installed, per day. A 3 kW system, for instance, generates roughly 390 units a month — enough to offset a ₹2,000–2,500 monthly bill for most households.

Subsidy, broken down honestly

Two subsidies apply to most Uttar Pradesh homes, and we file both on your behalf as part of installation.

SubsidyAmountWho disburses it
PM Surya Ghar (Central)Up to ₹78,000Direct to your bank account, ~30 working days
UP State Subsidy₹15,000/kW, max ₹30,000UPNEDA, typically 60–90 days
Combined maximum₹1,08,000—

Subsidy amounts and timelines are set by PM Surya Ghar and UPNEDA and may be revised by the government. We confirm current figures with you before you sign your quotation.

Common questions

Do I need to be home during the site survey?

Ideally yes, or someone who can give us roof access. The survey takes about 30–40 minutes and covers shading, roof condition, and your electrical panel.

What happens if my roof has shading part of the day?

We map shading patterns during the survey and design around them — this may mean a slightly different panel layout or, for tricky roofs, a microinverter setup instead of a standard string inverter.

Who owns the net meter — me or Akasa Solar?

The meter itself belongs to your DISCOM (UPPCL), same as your existing meter. We handle the application and coordination, but it's your utility connection throughout.

What maintenance does a rooftop system need?

Occasional panel cleaning and an annual check-up. We offer an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) if you'd rather not think about it.
